Cellfie Mobile and Vodafone announce new partnership agreement in Georgia

Georgian mobile operator, Cellfie Mobile, and global telco, Vodafone, have announced a new non-branded partnership agreement, in which Cellfie Mobile will look to expand its range of services, leveraging Vodafone’s expertise and advisory services.

Georgia, a small nation of 3.7 million, bordered by Russia to the north and Turkey to the south, has three mobile operators of which Cellfie is the smallest with 24% market share.

According to Vodafone, the Georgian telecommunications market is rapidly evolving, with increasing demand for high-speed connectivity and innovative solutions, calling for competitive services to meet customer expectations.

Under the partnership agreement Vodafone will share best practice in telecoms network design, operational efficiency and customer support.

“We are looking forward to supporting Cellfie, an agile and dynamic organisation that is ambitious about delivering better connectivity for the people of Georgia," said Petr Dvořák, CEO of Vodafone Partner Markets.

"This collaboration underscores our commitment to supporting local operators across the world through non-equity working partnerships that enhance connectivity and drive innovation.”

Mariam Kopadze, CCO of Cellfie Mobile, said the collaboration with Vodafone will focus on introducing value-added products that will be tailored to customers' everyday needs.

“We are delighted to partner with Vodafone and bring the expertise of Europe’s leading telecoms provider to the local market," Kopadze said.

"Through this partnership, Cellfie Mobile plans to leverage Vodafone’s extensive experience in digital innovation to launch a suite of new services for our customers.

"I would like to thank our colleagues at Vodafone for a great beginning and I look forward to our continued collaboration."
