Tasmanian-based cybersecurity ratings and third-party risk management company UpGuard has announced the launch of Trust Exchange with a significant upgrade to its Questionnaire AI capabilities.

UpGuard says the new feature allows teams to quickly autofill security questionnaires using existing security documentation such as SOC 2 reports and policy documents, alongside previously completed questionnaires - and unlike similar offeringss, Trust Exchange is free to anyone, “helping time-poor security teams around the globe benefit from AI-powered productivity savings”.

“Trust Exchange was built to tackle one of the most frustrating bottlenecks in the security world—lengthy, manual questionnaire processes,” said Dan Bradbury, Chief Product Officer at UpGuard.

“With our expanded Questionnaire AI, we’re not just speeding things up, we’re removing the guesswork and human error that can slow companies down. It’s about freeing up teams to focus on their bigger security challenges, while building trust faster and more effectively with their partners.”

UpGuard lists key features and benefits as:

  • Faster questionnaire completion: Security teams can upload existing SOC 2 reports and previously completed questionnaires to auto-populate responses. UpGuard’s AI completed 77% of a 100+ question questionnaire in a few minutes using a SOC 2 report and previously completed answers.
  • Improved accuracy and insights: The AI-driven autofill minimises human errors, ensuring consistent responses that align with the company’s security posture. Ninety-eight percent of autofill suggestions are accepted and verified by users.
  • Free to use: UpGuard’s Trust Exchange is available free of charge. Security teams can benefit from AI-powered questionnaire management without any added costs, making it ideal for small teams and startups.

On what UpGuard notes as real-world impact, the company says that its AI capabilities have already been used over 160,000 times by thousands of security professionals worldwide. Additionally, UpGuard’s sales engineering team cut their questionnaire completion time by half, saving up to 4 hours per week. This improvement not only accelerates vendor onboarding and reassessment but also helps establish trust between parties, facilitating smoother transactions and business operations.

Empowering security teams:
Questionnaire AI is designed with flexibility, catering to IT and security teams who face resource constraints. Teams can quickly respond to questionnaires without the high costs and inefficiencies associated with traditional tools.

Questionnaire AI is available now in UpGuard’s Trust Exchange product.
