DCI Data Centres, (DCI), a wholly-owned portfolio company of data centre infrastructure Brookfield, announced it has kicked off the construction of its first data centre in Seoul, South Korea, in collaboration with conglomerate Daelim.
DCI has tapped Daelim for its standards and in-house design, which DCI claimed is “suited for hyperscale customers and high-compute deployments.”
"Daelim’s expertise in real estate development has complemented well with DCI’s hyperscale design and operational capabilities and track record with key customers,” commented DCI CEO Nicholas Toh on the company’s partnership with Daelim.
Toh added building the first Asian data centre in Seoul is crucial to DCI’s expansion.

Since Brookfield acquired DCI in 2019, the platform has grown from two sites with less than 10MW to over 10 sites with now 130MW.
DCI owns data centres across Sydney, Adelaide, Canberra, Auckland.
