Drone connectivity platform Elsight has bagged a A$562,000 contract from an unnamed defence contractor to develop and supply a first batch of a new battlefield communication device.
Elsight expects the new devices will be deployed by defence for end users as part of a program set to begin in 2025.
Should the orders proceed, Elsight projected its revenue would grow to at least A$7.3 million in the next one to two years.
Elsight said its revenue was A$1.6 million in the first six months of 2024.

The device was devised based on Elsight’s Halo, a multi-link communications system with over 250,000 hours logged.
It will leverage cellular and other communication technologies to support various applications of both portable and stationary sensors.
It will be added to the company’s product portfolio to serve existing and new customers in commercial and defence sectors.
“This order represents another validation of the value and development qualities that Elsight brings to today’s defence market,” Elsighe CEO Yoav Amitai said.
“After a long evaluation process, Elsight was chosen as an essential partner in this long-term program, and we expect to reap the benefits of much larger programs in the years ahead.”
